Paneer Pulao is a healthy and delicious rice dish that can be made in under 30 minutes and makes for a great lunch box option. Here is how to make it.


For rice

  • Basmati rice - 1 cup
  • Water - 4 cups
  • Bay leaf
  • Salt as required
  • Oil

for paneer pulao:

  • Ghee - 1 tbsp
  • Paneer 8 cubes
  • Cumin - 1tbsp
  • Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
  • Cloves - 4
  • Pepper
  • Onion -1
  • Garlic - 3 cloves
  • Ginger - 1 inch
  • Peas - 1/4 cup
  • Tomato -1
  • Green chilly
  • Carrot - 1
  • Salt as required
  • Red chilly powder - 1 or 2 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder - 3/4 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves


  • First of all take a vessel add water, cove leaf, salt and oil. oil assists with getting non tacky rice.
  • when the water starts to bubble, add 1 cup of washed and drenched basmati rice. Boil the rice for 15 minutes.
  • cook the rice till they are delicate but hold shape. Drain out the water from the rice keep to the side.
  • Now take a pan and add ghee in it, heat ghee and saute paneer till they become brilliant brown. keep to the side.
  • take a kadai and add ghee cumin, cinnamon stick, cloves and dark pepper.saute them on low fire till they tun sweet-smelling. Then add chopped onions, ginger, garlic and green bean stew.
  • Presently add tomato and saute till they turn delicate and soft.
  • Add carrot and peas. saute well.moreover, add red bean stew powder, garam masala powder and salt. saute. Presently add disintegrated paneer and blend well, additionally add cooked rice and blend delicately.
  • Add lightly fried paneer on the pre-arranged pulao cover and stew for 5 minutes.
  • Additionally decorate with seared paneer pieces, coriander and disintegrated paneer.
  • At last, serve paneer pulao with onion tomato raita.
